How Often Should Air Ducts Be Cleaned?
Every 2 to 3 years is the general rule, but a few situations call for more frequent cleanings. Here is how to know where your home falls.
The frequency of air duct cleaning depends on your environment and who lives in the home. In general, we recommend a professional cleaning every 2 to 3 years to keep the system healthy.
Some situations call for more frequent attention. If you have shedding pets, family members with allergies or asthma, smokers in the home, or you have recently finished a renovation, buildup happens faster and a shorter interval makes sense.
If you notice increased dust on furniture shortly after cleaning, musty smells when the system kicks on, or visible debris around your vents, do not wait for the calendar. Those are signs the ductwork is due now. We are happy to take a look and give you an honest answer.
